Dark Knight

Batman Begins sequel The Dark Knight has become only the second film in Hollywood history to cross the GBP270 million mark at the US box office.

The record-breaking film, starring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, has taken just six weeks to reach the half-billion figure - half the time it took Titanic, which remains the only film to have made more at the U.S. domestic box office.

After Sunday's estimates, The Dark Knight has now made a total of GBP271.5 million.

Am i the only one who doesnt like this film??

No, I'm sure you're not. I am in awe at how much it's made. Both my husband and I got very bored during the last hour. We both felt the Joker never had the climactic ending he should have and that Two Face was totally wasted in the film. There are so many better movies that haven't made as much. Guess they didn't have the added draw of starring someone who died.

True. Both myself and my son watched it and considered it anti-climatic as we had both believed the hype surrounding it but were left dissapointed and considered it long winded and about 40 minutes too long. Then again we were also under whelmed by Hellboy 2

RE: Dark Knight

I don't care too much for hype, and I don't care for reviews either.. If I want to see a movie, then I'll see it, I don't care what the rating is as they are very inconsistent, and are not always fair.

I want to see this movie, I liked Christian Bale's portrayal of Batman, and I liked the first one.

Well, hype is what made this movie popular, not content. Like Dale said, it was at least 40 minutes too long...though I have heard people saying that it didn't feel long at all. That is hard for me to fathom, but everyone has their own opinion. Diversity is what makes movies money.

Not to jump into your conversation, but I agree.
The movie did seem a bit long.
Personally, I liked most of the movie.
There were parts that I didn't quite care for, but you'll have that in any movie.
There were a few things I was not expecting, which made it interesting to me, but, a lot of other stuff was easy to predict.

Honestly, if they make another one, which they might or might not, ( I don't know. I didn't look into it), I really doubt that it will be as good as these first two.

No such thing as jumping into the conversation Elite. We want your opinion on things. I did like the darker style of Dark Knight just got slightly tedious in parts. Plus if they make another i want to hear how much more gravelly his voice gets.lol

I am not sure whether I like the darker style.
I think it made the movie more interesting to me, but, on the other hand, I am not usually into darker styles.
I suppose there are always exceptions.
